Visiting the talented and beautiful Korean Artist Hong Seong-Nyeo.

Artist Hong Seong-Nyeo

When We have to talk about an artist We can´t skip the world of emotions, life experiences and the way each artist perceives the world through their inner world.

From a young age, the best thing Hong Seong-Nyeo could do was painting.

The painting was the joy of her childhood´s life and a blessing.

Because of this background and inner talents, she studied Design & Art at the Kunsan National University.

Although she majored in design, everyone was always able to feel the Korean beauty in her designs.

She began to be fascinated by Korean art, entering into the path of a Korean artist,

totally dedicated to Traditional Korean art, especially ink painting that has a history of 500 years, Art that only can be achieved through very long and long skills.

Fortunately or unfortunately her work has matured along with the unexpected frustration and pain of her life.

Hanji -Korean paper-, which is easy to smudge and difficult to handle, made her humble and the unpredictable world of ink gave her the generosity to embrace everything.

In her work. Hong Seong-Nyeo uses Hanji, brush, ink and water.

Through a long proficiency process, she spreads the spectrum of ink colours and by transferring energy to the brush, she expresses the vitality of becoming one with her spirit.

With the beauty of blank space, she communicates the mystery and the beauty of Korean art. The ultimate intention of her creations is to convey the image of nature.

We would like to finish this article with the artist´s words:

“Each brush´s stroke gathers my hope and aspiration to overcome frustration, and the world of ink is the perfect colour to contain the universe.

After all, our paintings are drawn with our hearts.”
